Today I came across
this fabulous website, as I was surfing on the Internet in search for interesting
YouTube channels. This one caught my eye when I saw the first animated tale for
children. The website, rather than focusing on traditional tales, provides
pupils with stories which transmit different positive values, such as “The greatest
treasure one”, referring to friendship as such.
The stories come
with animations which allow pupils to follow-up the story events in a
print-rich way, allowing them to contextualize meanings and learn by gist. The
text is read aloud, which allows children to practice their pronunciation at
the time they develop different listening and comprehension skills with the
stories. All these tales are read in a slow-pace so that children can hear the
words’ pronunciation in an easier manner.
